Samsung could deploy Android 14 even faster on its smartphones in 2023

While Samsung is rolling out Android 13, the manufacturer seems to want to speed up its schedule for releasing updates to its smartphones over the next few years. Android 14 could arrive even faster than expected.

A few weeks ago, Samsung began rolling out its new Android 13-based One UI 5.0 overlay to its high-end Galaxy S22 smartphones. A few days later, it was the turn of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 to benefit from the update, and more recently of the Galaxy S21.

In a statement, Samsung notes that the Android 13 rollout is coming sooner than in previous years, as the update rolled out to its smartphones just two months after it hit Google’s Pixels. It is therefore a question ofa record for Samsung, which does not seem to want to stop there.

Samsung wants to deploy its updates even faster on its smartphones

The Korean giant claims to work closely with Google to allow its smartphones to receive new updates quickly, and the next ones should arrive even sooner. A key part of this strategy is likely going to be support for rapid Android updates, which will now be imposed on all manufacturers.

For some mysterious reason, Samsung has been refusing to support the feature for several years now. This means that once Android 14 launches late next year, Samsung is expected to roll out the update less than two months after Google rolls out its Pixels.

For now, Samsung is working to launch Android 13 on more devices. The following should be the Galaxy S20 from the end of Novembere. It is then expected that Samsung will update its Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S7, Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 by the end of the year.

Apart from high-end smartphones and tablets, the update is also likely to be rolling out in late 2022 to mid-range devices such as the Galaxy A33 5G or the Galaxy A53 5G.
