The Galaxy S23 FE, or Fan Edition, could well land on the market in 2023, according to Korean media Hankooki (via SamMobile). A great return after a year of absence. The Galasy S FE model has been around since 2020 and offers a “lighter” and cheaper version of the top model.

According to the site, Samsung would choose to launch a Galaxy S23 FE but would skip the Galaxy A74, which would logically be placed in the same price segment. A logical strategy, the S brand having more appeal for the consumer.

Samsung could bring back the FE in 2023

The first Galaxy S FE model was launched in 2020: it was the Galaxy S20 FE, a revised and corrected version of the S20 released a few months earlier and above all much cheaper. A real box, since the phone has sold over 10 million copies.

In early 2022, Samsung tried again the shot with a Galaxy S21 FE. However, the terminal was sold much more expensive, approaching the price of a classic Galaxy S21. Moreover, it was released at the same time as the S22, which completely confused buyers. Because of this, sales weren’t as impressive as the S20 FE.

Due to the shortage of semiconductors, Samsung has chosen not to release the Galaxy S22 FE model. A gap year that would not prevent the arrival of this S23 FE. According to SamMobile, it would not be equipped with an Exynos 2300 processor, but from a SoC signed Qualcomm, either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. But the most important question, if S23 FE there is, remains that of the price. Because it is thanks to its reasonable price that the S20 FE was a hit in its time.

Of course, we will stay on the lookout for the latest rumors about the terminal.
