As we expected, the protagonists of today’s Galaxy Unpacked have been the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, two new terminals that come arstrengthen Samsung’s proposal in the entry and middle ranges (just yesterday we learned of the arrival of two new models of the M series in Spain), and that at least on paper, and waiting to know their prices when they reach the market, they seem like a very good option for users who do not want to do a high investment, but still want a device with good performance.

Unlike other recent cases, in which we are talking about terminals that are practically twins, in this case we would have to talk more about twins, because although they arrive together and have several elements in common, there are also quite a few elements that differentiate them, giving each one a different personality. Let’s analyze, then, what the newcomers to the Samsung A series offer us.

The first difference is found in the screen, more specifically in the tenth of an inch betweenas well as in the refresh rate, which in the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is 90 hertzwhile in the A53 5G it grows to 120 hertz. In the absence of knowing their resolutions, these are the two most pronounced differences. In both models, a Super AMOLED panel has been used and the screen has been protected with Gorilla Glass Victus.

There does not seem to be any difference regarding their “guts”, since in both cases we find an octa-core SoC (possibly an Exynos 1280 with Mali G68 GPU), accompanied by six or eight gigabytes of RAM and 128 or 256 gigabytes of storage. However, it is most likely that not all versions will reach all markets. In both cases, yes, you can expand the storage capacity with a MicroSD card of up to one terabyte.

There are also no differences in terms of connectivity. Both the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and the A53 5G offer, as their name suggests, state-of-the-art cellular connectivity, to which we must add connectivity WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC, plus a USB-C that fulfills both data and charging functions, for its 5,000 milliamp battery, which supports fast charging of up to 25 watts.

If we find differences again when analyzing the main cameras of both models. In both cases they are made up of four elements of the same time, although their capture resolutions vary. In both cases we find a main sensor, a wide angle, a macro lens and a specific depth lens. There is also a difference in the front camera, which in the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is 13 megapixels, compared to 32 megapixels in the A53 5G.

At the moment we do not know which versions will arrive in Spain and their price, but the company has announced that the Galaxy A53 5G will be available in some markets from April 1, while the Galaxy A33 5G will be available from April 22. April.
