Presented at CES 2022, Samsung’s Freestyle nomad projector promises to turn any flat surface into an improvised cinema.
CES 2022 continues, and despite a shower of cancellations linked to the pandemic and the Omicron variant, the big names in the industry continue to shape the future of technology. This is particularly the case with Samsung. A few hours ago, the South Korean company particularly distinguished itself in the smartphone market, with the release of the highly anticipated Galaxy S21 FE. This time, she reveals a portable and ultra versatile projector, The Freestyle.
A smart TV in your pocket
Already well established in the smart TV market, Samsung stands out this time by offering a product capable of transforming any surface – such as a wall or a ceiling – into home cinema at home. The idea is not new, but coming from the manufacturer, it necessarily takes on high-end finishes, promising the same experience as a smart TV, for a smaller format (800 grams at weighing), capable of being transported everywhere.
Designed for nomadic uses, The Freestyle is capable of projecting an image Full HD up to 100 ″ (254 cm) diagonal. The brand also promises an installation in seconds: “Once plugged in, the focus as well as the keystone adjustment is done automatically”. Thanks to its integrated speaker, the new portable projector from Samsung supports the 360 ° sound part, and is compatible with Bixby and Amazon Alexa voice assistants.

Announced during CES 2022, Samsung’s The Freestyle projector will be marketed from February 17, 2022. Pre-orders will open on January 20. Count around € 999 to hope to enjoy home theater.
