Samsung today announced the launch date for its new 2022 Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs.. This new series maintains the essence of last year’s models, but incorporates improvements in image, sound and system, with important advances in quality and performance. The new range, led by the QN900B model, will include six series, with sizes ranging from 43 to 98 inchesthus offering screens so that all users can find a model that suits their needs.

Although we are looking forward to seeing the new QD-OLED televisions from Samsung, the truth is that we have the impression that very few users will be able to enjoy these models, at least this year. So the Neo QLED range will be, one more year, the one that reigns among users looking for high-end televisions that do not have an OLED panel. And in this category Samsung is the absolute king. So much so that this year no less than three Neo QLED televisions with 8K resolution and three with 4K resolution will hit the market.

Samsung’s Neo QLED range includes significant improvements to the features that make up the panel. Mini LEDs have been further refined with the addition of the 14-bit HDR mapping, which adds more detail to dark and bright scenes. On the other hand, the Quantum Matrix Technology Pro (which precisely controls the Mini LEDs) is now more precise thanks to the new Neural Processor with Artificial Intelligence. According to Samsung itself, thanks to the use of 20 neural networks to improve images, the new models offer an image with amazing detail.

Improvements have also been implemented in the sound section. Samsung’s new Neo QLED models are equipped with multidirectional speakers and, for the first time, with the Dolby Atmos technology and up to 90W, to deliver a more immersive and cinematic viewing experience. Along with this jump in audio quality, another outstanding feature is the system Object Tracking Sound+ (OTS+), which directs the sound to move around the room along with the on-screen object. This allows the sound to be located in the exact place of the action (always taking into account physical limitations, of course).
