The Serbatic Zamora company is a clear example of how the commitment to local talent and quality employment in the Castilian-Leon community can promote success in the development of digital projects on an international scale.
Since Serbatic Zamora took its first steps in June 2019, this company, belonging to the VASS Group and specialized in providing ICT services for large companies, it has become a benchmark.
Not only because of the international projects they develop internationally, but because it is a clear example of how to successfully promote local talent, increasing its workforce by 300% since its creation.
This focus on promoting local and quality employment has led Serbatic to currently have 70 highly specialized professionals in the latest technologies who are developing their professional careers without having to leave their city, province or autonomous community.
This shows that it is possible to carry out large projects for large corporations, such as Banco Santander, Mapfre or Telefónica, with local young people without having to leave their place of residence. A model that allows the company to continue growing and incorporate new local talent as evidenced by the fact that eleven new young talents recently joined the Serbatic staff after undergoing a training period.
This is highlighted by Jorge González Herrero, general director of Serbatic, for whom the company today has “Level clients such as Redsys, Evo Banco, Banco Santander or Unicaja, which has allowed the teams to have evolved a lot in a short time, going from being junior programmers, to qualified professionals in software development and without leaving their autonomous community “.
The key to Serbatic’s success
Without a doubt, Serbatic exemplifies how small Spanish cities such as Zamora have the necessary talent to undertake large-scale technological projects for large multinationals without the need for professionals to have to move to large cities.
Precisely this local talent is one of the great keys to the success of the company thanks to its specialization in cutting-edge and unusual technologies to carry out projects of digital transformation, but also in other more popular ones like SAP, .NET, Cobol or Java.
It is a model that the company began to apply in 2019 from its installation in Zamora, but following the example of Serbatic Cuenca, inaugurated two years earlier and also recognized as the best job-creating company in 2018 by the Junta de Castilla La Mancha.
This bet, coupled with the collaboration of large institutions such as the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Zamora, the Polytechnic University School-Viriato Campus in Zamora (University of Salamanca), and the Claudio Moyano de Zamora and Los Sauces de Benavente Institutes, have been crucial in the promotion and training of these talents who can now develop their profession in the company for large corporations worldwide.
