After two years of absence, SIL 2022, the benchmark event for the logistics sector, returns with a renewed image and a commitment reinforced by innovation, networking and sustainability.
Barcelona will host from May 31 to June 2, 2022 the main meeting of the logistics sector in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean as announced by the Consorci de la Zona Franca (CZFB) of Barcelona. The 22nd edition of the International Logistics Show, SIL 2022, returns with a new image represented in its new logo and many new features.
This new edition, the first after two years in which it has not been possible to celebrate due to the pandemic, the event will have a greater presence of new technologies with which it seeks to promote networking among attendees.
To do this, SIL 2022 will have an application that will facilitate the transmission of data between exhibitors and visitors by simply scanning the QR codes provided to them. Likewise, the fair will also favor networking with a speed dating, a space for meetings in which more than 5,000 quick meetings can be held between companies in the sector.
Another of the great attractions of the event, and with the purpose of promoting its area of knowledge and innovation, is the Startup Innovation Hub, which will continue to have the first fair accelerator of the logistics sector in its third edition.
In this way, and as highlighted by Blanca Sorigué, general director of CZFB and SIL, it will be clear that, in this new edition, innovation will have a more important component than ever. “In the last two years, logistics has acquired a greater weight in the global economy and in this first edition after the arrival of COVID-19 we want to reinforce our role as an international business bridge between Europe, Latin America and the Mediterranean countries”.
Taking advantage of the appointment, the award for the best innovation of the fair will be awarded.
SIL 2022 bets on sustainability
Along with this focus on the importance of innovation for the sector, this 22nd edition of the International Logistics Exhibition will also record its great commitment to reinforcing its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
In addition to its representation at the congress, sustainable materials will also be used for the construction of the exhibitors and the award will be presented to the company with best sustainable practices, as well as to the loader company with best practices.
Along with this, SIL 2022 will also be able to see the eDelivery Barcelona, in which there will be an exhibition area dedicated to the last mile and delivery in e-commerce.
As stated by Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the CZFB, “the entity continues to bet on logistics with the organization of the only fair that since 1998 has brought together the entire supply chain and which has established itself as the benchmark in the sector, as well as the leading annual meeting in southern Europe and the Mediterranean ”.
