Smart clothing for pets: the brilliant idea of the Atenzza Group

The Atenzza Group has burst into the World Dog Show 2022, held at IFEMA Madrid, between June 23 and 26. The company presented the first smart pet textile brand of the world, drypets.

The World Dog Show, organized by IFEMA Madrid and the Royal Canine Society of Spain, was attended by 65 countries and 16,500 participating dogs of more than 250 different breeds. It took place in pavilion 10 of the fairgrounds where the Drypets stand was present with direct sales for visitors who were able to buy products for rest, travel, bathing and walking their dogs with certified technology.

Drypets textiles, unique in the world, are applied in beds, cushions, sofas for dogs, mattresses, blankets, towels, carriers, raincoats and coats. All of them could be seen at the stand of the World Dog Show. They can be used for all kinds of dog breeds and they are available in a wide range of sizes, from XXL beds for Granadans, to XXS beds for the smallest puppies. All are removable, with hidden zippers and facilitate the comfort of the pet.

Drypets products follow a healthy pets, happy pets philosophy and have been tested by Eurofins Scientific that guarantee their function against bedbugs, fleas and mosquitoes. In addition, they inhibit the activity of bacteria, fungi, mold, algae or viruses, such as the cause of COVID-19 thanks to a biocide. “Our technology is based on microencapsulated probiotic nanoparticles that feed on parasite larvae, which means that they cannot survive in their fibers”explained Sara Patón, CEO of Drypets.

Contamination removal

Other properties that allow these textiles are: purify the air eliminating the contamination that surrounds the textile, offer UV protection, they eliminate odours, they are antistatic so they do not attract hair or dust, they maintain color fastness against water and light and are hydrophobic, so they repel water and other liquids preventing stains from occurring, and allow the regeneration of the air and odor removal. “Our maxim is to provide a good quality of life for the dogs we have at home, who are one more member of the family”Paton noted.

The stand featured fabric, the main material with which it was built, all in pink, the brand’s corporate color. “We have made a sustainable, reusable and recyclable design made up of several personalized windows within the complex, but independent at the same time, which allow the brand’s different products to be displayed: beds, houses, coats, bags, etc. The result is a groundbreaking and continuous space with a three-dimensional structure in the shape of little houses that protects it from above”, affirmed the architect Héctor Ruíz-Velázquez, author of the project. The objective is that the brand can display its products in a unified and easily recognizable way.
