Facetime is a native Apple app for making calls or video calls between Apple devices. However, since iOS 15 it is possible to perform this function with Android and Windows devices. In this post, we are going to see how we can do this procedure from Apple users and Android and Windows users.
What is FaceTime?
Face Time is one ofpp from Apple that allows you to make group or group video callsbut also do voice calls. This application is available for all devices of the Californian brand and even on devices that are not part of the Apple ecosystem, such as Windows and Android from iOS 15. FaceTime from Apple devices

- Open Settings.
- Tap FaceTime and choose “Use your Apple ID for FaceTime.”
- Sign in with Apple ID
- In the FaceTime app, tap “New FaceTime” and type in the person’s phone number or email. Tap the number or address and then the Audio or FaceTime button.
- If you have the person’s number or email saved in your Contacts, you can start typing the name and tap it when it appears. Then tap the Audio or FaceTime button.
- You can also start a FaceTime video call from iPhone while on a phone call. Tap the FaceTime icon in the Phone app to switch to FaceTime.
FaceTime on Android devices
As we have said in the above lines, the Face Time app covers much more than Apple devices, since we can make a video call or call with a person who uses Windows or Android and we will do it under the security and privacy that symbolizes Apple.
How to participate in a FaceTime call on the Web?
As we mentioned, since iOS 15, we can use Face time with anyone, regardless of whether they have the same operating system. This is possible, because Face time also works from the web and, through a link, several people can join the call. Of course, to create this link we need an Apple device, be it an iPhone, iPad or even an Apple Watch. LThe steps for this are the following:
- You open the FaceTime app from our device on our iPhone, iPad or Mac.
- Tap the Create Link button.
- We share the link to send it with the people we want to make the video call or call.
The user who receives the invitation has to perform the following steps:
- If you get a link to a FaceTime call, open it.
- Enter your name and select Continue. You may need to allow FaceTime to use your device’s microphone and camera beforehand.
- Select Join. Then wait for the host of the call to let you in.
- Select Exit to leave the call.
The procedure is the same if you have a Windows or Android computer, since the application is run from the web, for example, Chrome.
