The company that develops cloud solutions and technological services has recently inaugurated, in Santiago de Compostela, a new Cloud Application Development Services Hub to support Spain and part of Europe. The company plans to hire more than 100 professionals of different technical profiles for this center, which will be an important boost to the technological development of Galicia.
The Santiago de Compostela hub joins to the one created in April of this year in León, which reinforces SoftwareONE’s commitment to northwestern Spain to develop its expansion both in our country and internationally.
Joaquin Potel, Global Head of the company’s Application Services Business, explained that the objective is “become the benchmark for application modernization projects in Europe. Our alliance with the main Cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google or Microsoft, will allow us to create a practice that will optimize the processes of adaptation to the cloud of our clients’ applications both in Spain and in the rest of the world. Our challenge is to reach 250 employees in the two hubs during the first year and grow to 2,000 in the medium to long term ”.
Academy to train technical talent
The new Galician technological hub will have a SoftwareONE Academy in order to generate technical talent and support the key areas of growth of the company, with free and subsidized training. Its aim is to bridge the gap between education and employment in a sustainable way, offering young talents the opportunity to benefit from training programs designed to develop high competence and the necessary skills to be able to work in a company like SoftwareONE.
Is about a free program for candidates who become part of the Academy, which is not only present in Spain, but also in North America, Brazil, India, Colombia, Costa Rica and Germany. Additionally, the company is in the process of launching two new locations in the Philippines and the UK.
On the other hand, SoftwareONE has experienced 100% growth in Spain over the last year, largely due to the organic growth of the company to meet the increasingly changing and demanding needs of its customers, but which is also based on the acquisition of Intelligence Partner, at the beginning of the year, which reinforces the Multi-Cloud commitment, adding leadership in Google technologies (Google Cloud Platform, Workplace or Maps) to its current expertise in Microsoft and AWS.
