Some supposed first images of the AirPods Pro 2 appear

AirPods Pro 2

This is a non-stop. If this week the new AirPods 3 have been presented in society, we already have the first “supposed” leaked images of the next headphones that Apple will launch: the AirPods Pro 2.

These photos of both the charging case and the earbuds show how the AirPods Pro have evolved into a second generation. The headphones still have a ‘leg’, and some strange things appear in the case orifices.

Some images of the supposed second generation of the AirPods Pro just appeared on the internet. These photos show that Apple may have abandoned its planned redesign of “legless” headphones for the AirPods Pro 2.

The photos show the AirPods Pro 2 with an identical design to the current model. the only appreciable difference is the optical sensor missing towards the bottom of each earbud. This could be due to the system change towards a new skin detection sensor, like the ones we have seen for the first time in the new AirPods 3 presented in Monday’s keynote.

In the charging case there are speaker holes, and a handle for attaching a strap.

On the other hand, in the charging case, there are significant changes. The charger of the AirPods Pro 2 in these images has some speaker holes which are supposedly for deeper integration with the ‘Find’ app, allowing you to play a sound to locate the case, similar to what happens when you lose an AirTag. There is also a metal handle on the side, which would be to hook a strap.

As these images have not been very clear where they came from, for now we are going to leave them “in quarantine”. This week the AirPods Pro have undergone a small renovation, from now on replacing the charging case that came with the headphones with a new one compatible with wireless charging. MagSafe.

So presumably there’s still time left so that the second generation of the AirPods Pro appears on the market. We will therefore see in future leaks whether these images are well founded, or not.
