Sony lifts the veil on the new colors of its PS5 and its assorted controllers, eagerly awaited by many players for a year.
The long-awaited moment has arrived. Sony has finally unveiled fronts for its PS5, as well as a myriad of colored DualSense controllers to match the new tones of the console. In total, 5 different colors are expected by next year, which you can discover in video. The first reveals the controllers that will soon be available in Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple.
Because of their name, and their color, we feel that Sony is focusing everything on the theme of the galaxy for its latest generation console. As you can imagine, these DualSense will have absolutely nothing different from the original model which is white and black. For the facades, which all players have been waiting for, they are available in these 5 same colors.
Anyone who owns the PS5 knows that the original fronts of the console come off quite easily. Thanks to a simple hanging system, you can detach them and attach new ones, in the colors (or not) of your new controllers. Of course, Sony plans to market several versions of its facades, one for the digital edition of the PS5 and another for the edition with a disc player.
Pricing and availability
Rest assured, it won’t be long before you can get your hands on these hoped-for goodies. You will be able to buy them from January 2022 for the fronts in Midnight Black and Cosmic Red, which seems logical given the fact that the controllers matching these colors have already been on the market for many months. For the other colors, it will take a little longer, but they will still be marketed by the first half of 2022.
For the controllers, however, you can buy them from January 2022. We hope that by then the console stocks will look better than they are now, as many gamers may well get their hands on colorful facades before they’ve even had the chance to touch the PS5 in it- same.
