Soon you will be able to link your Mac with an Apple Watch

A new rumor about a new feature that seems to be implemented in an upcoming version of watchOS is of special interest to all Mac users.

Until now, the user of an Apple Watch was required to have an iPhone. The Apple smartwatch only works if it is linked to a mobile of the same brand. But this seems to be changing. With an upcoming watchOS update, apart from the iPhone, we will be able to link an Apple Watch to a Mac or an iPad as well, without being forced to also have an iPhone.

According to a new rumor appeared in Twitteran upcoming watchOS will incorporate as a novelty the possibility of being able to link an Apple Watch not only to a iphonebut also to a iPador even a Mac.

We all know that in order to use an Apple Watch, we must also own an iPhone. Apple’s smartwatch by itself doesn’t work. Must be linked to an iPhoneYes or yes.

If you already have your Apple Watch linked to your mobile, you can use it with your iPad for certain specific actions, such as following the Apple Fitness + training routines on the iPad screen. It can also interact with your Mac at specific times, such as unlocking it, or authenticating for passwords or paying with Apple Pay, and a little more. But it seems that this may change shortly.

According to a comment that appeared these days on Twitter, Apple is going to allow an Apple Watch to be link also to other company devices, such as an iPad or a Mac, without the imperative need to also have an iPhone.

Said source, however, has not said if this novelty will be implemented this year, with watchOS 10or we will have to wait for next year, in watchOS 11. We will see.
