Space Battleship Yamato 2205: The New Voyage is shown with the extended trailer

A new trailer for Space Battleship Yamato 2205: The New Voyage (Uchū Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi – Zenshō -TAKE OFF-), the new anime feature film of the cult saga created by Leiji Matsumoto.

The video, visible below, was published from the official website of this sequel to the modern anime remake of the 70s TV series known in Italy as Star Blazers.

The new teaser is an extended version of the one that streamed last week, with an additional 12 additional seconds of footage.

Based on the 1979 television special of the same name Space Battleship Yamato: The New Voyage, as anticipated we will find ourselves three years after the war with the Empire of the White Comet.

In command of battleship Yamato is now Kodai leading a new crew to another battle.

Space Battleship Yamato 2205 is the first of two films and will be released in Japan on October 8, 2021. As with previous Star Blazers feature remakes, it will debut simultaneously with a special Blu-ray Disc edition immediately available for purchase. On November 26, another Blu-ray and DVD edition will arrive.

The saga of The Space Battleship Yamato

Uchū senkan Yamato (Space Battleship Yamato) is a 1974 cult sci-fi anime series created by Leiji Matsumoto and is known in Italy as Star Blazers.

In 2013 in Japan (in 2019 in Italy) he made his debut Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199, remake of the first season of the classic series, as a derivation of a series of seven films screened in cinemas from 2012 to 2013.

TO Space Battleship Yamato 2199 followed Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202, sequel also arrived first in Japanese cinemas with seven films between 2017 and 2019, to then be broadcast on TV as an anime series.
