Spider-Man Remastered is coming to PC, but is yours ready?

As has been done as a rule lately, a new “exclusive” game of PlayStation is going to arrive very soon on our PCs, and it will do so in this case in a remastered version with numerous improvements and optimizations that will make playing it on PC much more satisfying than playing it on console. Is about Spider-Man Remasteredwhich will arrive on our PCs on the day August 12 and whose requirements and technical aspects.

It seems that SONY wants to change the rules (remember that this character is owned by SONY and not by Marvel), and not just because of that ridiculous script that they have put in our Spiderman or that now they pronounce it “espaidermen” instead of “spiderman” as we have always done and as it was in previous movies and games, but because technically speaking this game comes to PC with a lot of improvements compared to to what we saw on console when it was launched back in September 2018.

What improvements does Spider-Man Remastered have on PC?

Last month, SONY announced almost by surprise that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered would come to PC, but it has not been until now that they have revealed both the release date and all the technical details of this “port” from the consoles. It seems that SONY and Insomniac are making an effort so that we are not dealing with one more “port” of the bunch, and have added aspects such as Ray Tracing, DLSS, DLAAmonitor compatibility Ultra Wide and much more. Take a look at the trailer they have released about it below:

Next, we make a more detailed summary of the improvements that we will find in this remastered version for PC and that we did not have on consoles:

  • Ray tracing is available throughout the game for users whose graphics card supports it. The reflections will have several levels of configurable quality, one of which is a new higher quality mode that offers more details of the city as you swing between buildings.
  • The technology NVIDIA DLSS is available, increasing in-game performance for users with NVIDIA RTX graphics.
  • NVIDIA DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) is also available; is an AI-based anti-aliasing mode, also for users with an NVIDIA RTX graphics card.
  • In addition to being able to change the resolution of the game, it is also possible to configure the aspect ratio, being able to go from 21:9 to 32:9 for example, and even multiple monitor configurations are supported without a problem.
  • Many quality customization options have been added, such as SSAO, texture filtering, LoD quality, shadows and much more, allowing you to adjust the level of quality / performance you want. It can be played even in borderless windowed mode.
  • The game supports 4K resolution at 60 FPS.

Can your PC with this game?

As we have already seen, you will be able to configure the resolution and quality of the game practically as you want, so if your PC is relatively modern, you will hardly find a combination that makes it playable. However, these are the minimum and recommended requirements that SONY has published in this regard:

Spider-Man PC Requirements

As you can see, with a fairly old low-end gaming PC (we’re talking about a Core i3-4160 with a GeForce GTX 950) you’ll already be able to play at 720p resolution and 30 FPS, although it’s true that to achieve the most recommended and expected , 1080p at 60 FPS, you will already need a Core i5 / Ryzen 5 and a GTX 1060 6GB / Radeon RX 580. In all cases, in order to lighten the loading screens, SSD recommended.

For the best graphics settings, which is 4K at 60 FPS with Ray Tracing enabled to the maximum, it does require a modern, high-end PC, including an Intel Core i7-12700 / Ryzen 9 5900X with 32GB of RAM. , and a GeForce RTX 3080 or a Radeon RX 6950 XT, which is no small thing.
