Steam Deck: the GOG launcher will not be available on the console, but there is a solution

Asked about this on Twitter, GOG confirmed that its launcher will not be available on the Steam Deck. Difficult to feign surprise, since the console is produced by Valve, its direct competitor. Nevertheless, since it is theoretically possible to install Windows there, it would be a method to find GOG there.

Only three days left until the official launch of the Steam Deck. At this point, the question of the compatibility of certain games is on everyone’s lips. Although Valve regularly updates the list of available titles, the latter only concerns Steam games. What about other launchers? On Twitter, Metal Youtuber Jesus Rocks posed the question directly to GOG. And to the latter to reply: no.

In itself, this statement is not really surprising. GOG being the direct competitor of Steam, and vice versa, the real surprise would have been to see Valve natively offer the latter on its console.
