Steam, Epic, GOG, Ubisoft, EA… unite all your games with these programs

Contrary to what happens with consoles, where we can usually only buy games in one place (PlayStation Store, Xbox, Nintendo), when we go to buy a PC game, we can find several stores where we can spend money: Steam, Ubisoft Store, Origin, GOG, etc. The most normal thing is that we choose the store where it is cheaper to save. But, over time, having all the games spread across multiple stores can become chaotic. Fortunately, this has a solution.

As is logical, when we log in with a store client, it allows us to see the games that we have purchased within its platform. However, it does not tell us if the game we are looking for is already in another store, nor does it allow us to see the games we have purchased in other stores. This means that, more than once, we take time to find the game we want to play because we don’t know exactly where we bought it. And surely it has also made us buy a game in a store (Steam, for example) for not realizing that we already had it in another store (Epic Games, for another example).

Luckily, today we are going to talk about three free programs that allow us to unify all our game libraries in one place to be able to have our games much better organized.

GOG Galaxy 2.0

The first of the programs that we are going to talk about could not be other than GOG Galaxy 2.0. This is the official client, of the well-known store of DRM-free games GOG, owned by the creators of, among others, The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to being able to see all the games that we have purchased in this store, and browse the Store, it also allows us to log in with the accounts of many other stores of games to access their libraries and allow us to aggregate, and unify, all of our games in one place.

GOG Galaxy 2.0 - 1

We can see a complete list with all the games that we have purchased in all stores, or see only the games from a specific store. In addition, from this program we will be able to launch the games we want, always through the platform’s original client. For example, if we run a Steam game, the client will open, the game, we will play, and when finished, Steam will close automatically.

GOG Galaxy 2.0 - 2

If you want this program, you can download it for free from the GOG Galaxy website.

playnite

playnite is a free and open source alternative to GOG Galaxy, designed above all to allow us to unify all our digital game stores in one place. This program has an infinite number of customization options that range from being able to adjust every last detail of the program’s main interface to adding all kinds of extra services (such as HowLongToBeat) or functions through the use of plugins. All, in addition, open source.

playnite

Among its features, it should be noted that it supports more stores than GOG, such as Legacy Games, which is now gaining popularity with free Amazon Prime games. But, yes, if we want to adapt it to our liking, it is necessary to spend time on it.

If you want to download this program, you can download it completely free of charge from the Playnite website. From this website we can also download the different “add-ons” that allow us to add stores to the program, customize its appearance, add other services and much more.

launch box

launch box is a frontend designed to be able to centralize all our retro and arcade games in one place, with their corresponding covers, and other information related to the games. However, if we want, we can also use it to centralize the games from the main stores, such as Steam, Epic, Ubisoft, EA and Amazon, among others. Of course, the possibilities, both for customization and for adding other services, are much more limited.

We can download the latest version of this program from the following link. As an option, being closed source and having paid functions, it is the least recommended.
