At the moment, this is the first award that this children’s series obtains, since the previous nomination that it had for the Annie awards, was not so lucky but Wolfwalkers. The Serie Stillwater is based on the Scholastic book series “Zen Shorts” by Jon J. Muth and focuses on Karl Addy and Michael, two young people who receive advice for the life of a wise panda who lives next door.
Apple states in the statement:
Through her example, her stories, and her gentle humor, Stillwater provides children with a deeper understanding of their feelings, as well as tools to help them cope with their own daily challenges.
