But the real question for fans of the successful series is when Stranger Things 4 will be released.
The premiere of Stranger Things 4
The speculations and rumors of the premiere of the successful Netflix series are over, because The platform has finally revealed the date on which we can enjoy the fourth season, which has nothing to do with the many theories that fans have made in recent months. And it is that this premiere will not happen in summer, as many predicted, something that they had already said from Netflix, and this is not all.
The Duffer brothers revealed in an open letter to their fans that Stranger Things 4 would arrive in two volumes, since “there are nine scripts, more than eight hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots”, but the most important thing is that the fourth season lasts twice as long as those previously released.
Having said that, The premiere of the first volume of Stranger Things 4 will arrive on Netflix on May 27. As usual on the on-demand content platform, the chapters of this volume will arrive on the same day, instead of one by one each week. The difference is that we will only have the first half. But Netflix has also revealed the date on which the second volume of the series will be released, and it will be on July 1.
Stranger Things will have a fifth season, but it will be the last

Stranger Things 4 teasers

On the other hand, in the second teaser there is more information about what is on the screens. Several children are seen at the Hawkins National Laboratory facility, as well as Dr. Martin Brenner, who returns to the series. They pay special attention to number 7, and Eleven is no longer with the rest of the boys. Dr. Brenner has a surprise for these.
If we pick up where we left off in the previous season, the big question is how Jim Hopper could have survived. Although we assume that the Hopper we see in the teaser is the one we already know, and if this one has survived, Grigori should have made it too. Of course, fans have all kinds of theories to explain it.
The new characters that arrive with Stranger Things 4
Of course the main plot of this fourth season remains unknown, but considering the official descriptions of the new characters coming to the series, we have plenty of clues. As we indicated at the beginning, two of the new characters are not going to have a happy time in the series, since according to their descriptions, they could be victims of the Demogorgon, there is also information about Hopper and Russia, and we will talk about it later.
The one who seems to be the first victim is Patrick, “a basketball star from Hawkins who has friends, talent, and a good life…until strange events send his perfect life out of control.. And everything points to the same thing happening to Chrissy, “the head cheerleader at Hawkins High School and the most popular girl in school. But beneath her seemingly perfect surface lurks a dark secret…
On the other hand, we will also have Vickie, “a fast-talking band geek who catches the attention of one of our beloved heroes”, will have to see who is his admirer. And the latest addition announced is Mrs. Kelly, “A popular guidance counselor who cares a lot about her students, especially those who are struggling.”
Until now, These are the new characters that Netflix has officially announced, but they are probably not the only ones. And it is that in the first ads there have also appeared characters who will suffer the pain and despair of the Upside Down World, as is the case of Peter Ballard, “a kind man who works as a paramedic in a psychiatric hospital. Tired of the brutality he witnesses every day, will he be able to do something about it? Taking into account what has been seen, this will be a character of great importance in the flashbacks that could be seen in the first Stranger Things 4 teaser.
Another who could also be a victim of suffering would be Argyle, “Jonathan’s new best friend, a fun-loving drug addict who proudly delivers delicious pizzas for Surfer Boy Pizza.”
Peror the attention will be mainly on two other characters, Victor Creel“a disturbed and intimidating man who was committed to a psychiatric hospital after committing a terrible murder in the 1950s”. Finally, the one that will apparently be one of the most interesting characters of the season. It is about Lieutenant Colonel Sullivan, “An intelligent man, who does not mess around and who thinks he knows how to end evil in Hawkins once and for all…”.
Returning characters in Stranger Things 4
As we have already mentioned, the first return that we know we will have will be that of Jim Hopper, and of course, characters like Eleven, Jonathan, Joyce and Will Byers, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Nancy and Maxine will obviously be present, well all of them are still alive.
Before Netflix announced that the American was Hopper, it was actor David Harbor himself who dropped his return in the middle of an interview with the Los Angeles Times.. “[…] if at the end there is some kind of resurrection it would be very interesting for me… […] if that happened he would have to emerge as a different individual.”
The return of Jim Hopper has a wide range of theories, among which is a link between the fourth season of Stranger Things with the movie Interstellar. Only instead of the wormhole that is near Saturn, Stranger Things has the World Upside Down, and the connection would be the explosion next to the portal.
But there are many more theories, and one in particular is very strong thanks to statements by the Duffer brothers themselves. This other links Hopper to Han Solo and his sacrifice. During an interview for Entertainment Weekly, the brothers say the following: “We always wanted to give him [al personaje de Hopper] a Han Solo-style moment of sacrifice.” If we look back, in the last episode of the third season of Stranger Things, Jim Hopper says: “See you in hell”, which could be a parallel with Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back. Then in Return of the Jedi they manage to unfreeze him, with all that this entailed later.
That said, the explosion at the secret base could be something similar to the carbonite freeze from Star Wars, and it would be the Russians who thaw Jim Hopper.
Stranger Things 4 Plot
According to the images that we have seen, Hawkins’ group is completely divided. For one thing, Eleven, Will, Joyce, and Jonathan Byers find themselves outside of Hawkins. We also have Jim Hopper in Russia, locked in a cell and working in the snow, waiting to be eaten by a Demogorgon. Finally we have in Hawkins Mike, Nancy, Lucas, Maxine and Dustin.
The ending that the Duffer brothers had in mind for Stranger Things is already known. On this all the young people of Hawkins have already become adults and have separate lives outside the Upside Down World, something similar to the universe of one of Stephen King’s novels, It, and they reunited when the Upside Down World returns to them to call. The Duffer brothers presented this ending to Netflix, but at the moment it is unknown if it was confirmed or not, or if it could have something to do with the plot of Stranger Things 4.
In addition, we also have to speculate on the title of the script for the first chapter of this new season, which was a leak from the series’ own writers, and they did it from the official Netflix account, The Hellfire Club, it leaves many clues, but of course none clear or definitive. It’s a nod to the X-Men comics, which may or may not have meaning, since it’s also the name of a missile. The Hellfire Club could also be a reference to the guinea pig children that were part of the Laboratory experiment in Hawkins: Eleven through Eight.
Another possibility would be that it was a reference to the person behind the MK Ultra and Hawkins Laboratory experiments. Or it could just be a reference to the survivors of the Upside Down World, as is the case with Jim Hopper.
