Surface Go 3 Black is a special version of the basic 2-in-1 that Microsoft markets under its own line of hardware. It has been listed in Amazon’s Italian and German divisions, and is notable for a novel color finish.
Microsoft’s hardware line is getting broader and more interesting and next October it will celebrate its first ten years in the market. Perhaps the Redmond firm wants to celebrate the anniversary with some special versions like the one at hand, characterized by a finish of matte black color that looks great compared to the classic gray used mostly in the Surface line.
We do not know if this Surface Go 3 Black will bring any more changes compared to the main version whose latest version was presented recently, last September, as a renewal of the Surface Go 2 that we analyze in this article and where we confirm that Microsoft has produced the best Windows tablet on the market. And that did not change the design, maintaining the quality of construction and finishes of a chassis made of magnesium alloy that is the norm in this line of hardware, like the screen, a 10.5-inch PixelSense multi-touch with holder for stylus pens.
Microsoft improved its performance level from the base version of the Surface Go 3 with the processor Pentium Gold 6500Y and also the one of the superior version with the Intel Core i3-10100Y, an ultra-low voltage development with two cores and four threads, capable of working at a maximum frequency approaching 4 GHz. Microsoft spoke of a performance increase of 60%. RAM and storage remained at up to 8GB and with 128GB SSD in the higher version.
Connectivity options improved with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2In addition to offering a 3.5mm jack for combo audio, a USB Type-C port, and a Surface Connect port. It has rear and front cameras, including support for Windows Hello in security tasks. There is no lack of the Type Cover magnetically coupled keyboard to increase productivity when we use it at the desk and that also serves as a cover.
Another novelty of the Surface Go 3 Black must be the support for LTE broadband networks, a type of configuration that was pending in the launch of the version. With Windows 11 pre-installed, the new version should be available shortly. And if you prefer the original gray color, you should know that it is reduced in price on Amazon and you can find the base version (Intel Pentium 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage) for only 421 euros, while the top of the range with Intel Core i3, 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD, costs 679 euros.
