Sustainable solutions ‘made in Spain’, capable of making energy cheaper

There is no doubt that sustainability is a rising value, not only in society but also in Spanish industry. Today, the brand that does not carry out any action «green» can generate a negative impact that, without a doubt, will translate into less sales. But, what is considered eco-sustainable for a company? As long as you use sustainable energy, take advantage of your waste or do effective recycling.

Surely you are tired of reading that energy prices are out of control and that they do not seem to stabilize in the short term. Whether at a private level, at your home, or in your company if you have a small business… It doesn’t matter, you are aware that the rises in electricity, gas… have been undermining our pockets for a few months now.

For all this, we present five Spanish companies that have solutions that, in one way or another, they could lower the price of energy and make our economy much more sustainable: either because their proposals make current energies more efficient or because their activity results in an improvement in renewables.

This Spanish company has a technology already in operation, unique in the world, which allows increase biogas production. Her technology is applied to the organic fraction of urban solid waste (those from the brown bucket, to understand us) and has been awarded the National Energy Award “Maria del Rosario Heras”, granted by the Ministry of Ecological Transition.

BIOMAKalready on the market, makes biomethane production more efficient and also makes it possible to produce a biomass whose organic matter content is greater than 98%: it is the ideal complement to existing waste treatment and biogas production technologies, since it optimizes the performance of anaerobic digestion processes to the point of doubling the performance of a conventional plant.

Zicla

In this company they are clear: cities and their waste They are an opportunity for innovation and change, a path, that of change, that they have already undertaken. Zicla takes advantage of urban waste (post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste) and turns it into mobility elements.

Its model is based on reusing, repairing, remanufacturing and recycling to produce raw material from the waste that the cities themselves generate. These new materials are used to make urban mobility elements such as bike or bus lane signs, decorative planters or platforms.

blowing

This company has developed a power generator capable of increasing the autonomy of electric vehicles. This generator harnesses wind energy from the vehicle’s own movement: the solution seeks to facilitate long-distance journeys for the transport of goods and people in a sustainable mobility environment, increasing autonomy and reducing operational costs.

Graniot

Precision agriculture, that’s what they promise in this company. Its solutions allow agronomists and farmers to make better decisions regarding to irrigation and fertilization of their crops, thanks to satellite technology and agroclimatic information. This solution prevents high-risk situations in crops and saves up to 15% in water costs, which, as we all know, is a scarce commodity and will become more so every day.

prismB

Related to water is also the PrismaB solution, which sells field sensors, with special focus on irrigated products. Thus, they develop sensors for the soil that make it possible to correct inefficiencies in the use of irrigation and reduce water consumption by up to 45%, almost half. And consequently, energy expenditure.
