In February of last year, Apple officially announced that had bought the streaming rights to a futuristic drama starring Mahershala Ali and directed by Benjamin Cleary.

At the time it was described as a “genre-breaking drama.” We have known little else since February of last year. However, thanks to the Deadline medium, we finally know more details about this new project along with its release date.

Not only do we have a first-look photo of the next film, they say from Deadline, but we also find out when it will be released. Will be the December 17 2021. Most likely a week or two earlier, the film will land in theaters in the United States so that it can opt for the Oscars of the Hollywood Academy.

Mahershala Ali plays a father and husband who “is presented with the risky possibility of surviving a terminal illness.” In the article of this post, we can also see some more images of this production.

At the moment it seems that the film still not ready to release a trailer, so for now we just have to sit and wait until the Cupertino-based company publishes the first trailer of the two it usually publishes of its series and movies.

Swan Song too will star Glenn Close and Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings), along with Adam Beach (Windtalkers). The film is co-produced by Ali Mahershala and the script has been run by Benjamin Cleary, who is also directing the film.
