Synology has decided provide Artificial Intelligence to its two new models of video surveillance cameras, BC500 and TC500. Both feature advanced AI capabilities, are weather-ready with weather protection, and integrate with the Surveillance Station video management system.
Both have 5 Megapixel sensors, which can record with a maximum resolution of 2880×1620, at 30 frames per second. They have a horizontal viewing angle of 110 degrees, which allows them to have smooth video transmissions with a wide coverage area. They have an IP67 dust and water resistance rating, a night vision range of up to 30 meters, and multiple-exposure HDR capability. Thanks to all this, they can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Synology BC500 and TC500 cameras incorporate AI features, allowing users to receive timely and accurate alerts. In this way they can improve the response to incidents, both in speed and precision. Among its functions is the detection of people, vehicles and intrusions, and its Instant Search function allows users to identify potential threats with more reliability.
They also allow areas suspected of being the scene of a threat to be quickly investigated, as well as the tracking and recovery of relevant recordings. Of course, guaranteeing privacy at all times.
As we have mentioned, both models are designed to integrate seamlessly with the Surveillance Station. All camera settings as well as network settings can be managed directly in an environment hosted on Synology NAS.
In addition, there is no need to purchase or activate separate licenses for Surveillance Station devices for either camera model to be integrated into the platform. In this way, the configuration process is optimized, and the migration of other systems is simplified, in addition to lowering the costs of system implementation.
The Synology BC500 and TC500 feature local storage on failure, which guarantees the continuity of the recording if there are connectivity problems. Its firmware update can be scheduled, making it easy to manage and update security.
Likewise, they are compatible with HTTPs and SRTP, ensuring privacy and security with encryption of data and video streams. The Synology BC500 and TC5000 are NDAA and TAA compliant, making them a safe choice for video surveillance system installers and security system integrators. The former is already available in some regions, while the TC500 model will be available in a few weeks.
