The firm Synology has confirmed the launch of four new business NAS, the SA3600 and SA3400which are emerging as highly scalable solutions and can reach a storage capacity of 1 petabyte, and the RackStation RS2423+ and RS2423RP+who give their best in SMEs.
The RackStation RS2423+ and RS2423RP+ are configured with 12 bays, capable of sequential read and write speeds of up to 3,500 MB/s and 1,700 MB/s. They have 10 GbE connectivity, come with two Gigabit Ethernet ports and can reach a capacity of up to 216TB of storage. If we opt for the Synology RS2423RP+, we can also add an expansion to 24 bays, which will allow us to double the total storage capacity (432 TB).
The two Gigabit Ethernet ports on both computers can be linked with Link Aggregation to access features such as automatic network failover and load balancing. It is also possible possible sync two drives using Synology High Availability to form an active/passive server cluster reliable, thereby maximizing service uptime. The RS2423RP+ also has a redundant power supply to guarantee continuity of service even in the event of a critical failure.
Synology SA3610 and SA3410 are two highly scalable NAS designed to meet very high storage needs, as they can be expanded up to 96 bays and offer a maximum storage capacity of 1.7 petabytes. These NAS can achieve a sequential read and write speed of up to 6,200MB/s and 3,000MB/soffer advanced connectivity options, including two 10GbE ports, and can be configured in hybrid storage arrays with SSDs as cache.
These four Synology solutions are compatible with the main applications and software solutions of the companyincluding Synology Drive, which enables easy cross-platform access to file sharing and management tools, Synology Drive ShareSync, which will help us distribute files to servers around the world and synchronize data with company headquarters, and also keep multiple sites in sync using less bandwidth and storage by leveraging the power of the cloud.
Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) It is another tool to take into account, since it offers us to make backup copies of computers, server virtual machines and SaaS applications in a simple, fast and reliable way.
The SA3610 and SA3410, and the RackStation RS2423+ and RS2423RP+, are already availablealthough we do not know their official prices in Spain.
