The DiskStation DS423 is the latest addition to Synology’s NAS portfolio. It fits into the ‘Value’ series and is designed as a device for multipurpose storage for homes and small businesses.
NAS are ideal devices for storage, data backup and file management, but also for other uses such as media server, P2P client, collaboration or setting up a surveillance system to protect physical assets. Always under the control of the client as a local device, it also allows you to set up your own private cloud, which can also be connected to other cloud storage services.
In addition, the sum of storage technologies and network connectivity allows access to stored content from any type of device (or simultaneously from several of them) and from anywhere in the world via the Internet.
