Tales Technology’s drones combat air pollution in buildings

The Sevillian startup, Tales Technology, has developed and patented a system to combat, in real time and actively, poor air quality in buildings through the use of drones. The device is activated when contamination levels are detected in any area of the building. In a completely automated way, the drone is activated and heads to the risk area to purify the environment. The apparatus flies at a height of approximately two meters, is small in size and its sound is practically negligible to the ear.

This new system, whose pilot tests began in the second half of September, represents the last phase of the Tales project, the air quality control solution that the company developed last year and that is already installed in more than a hundred public buildings and spaces of great confluence of the Andalusian public, such as mercaseville.

“In addition to knowing the quality of the air in real time, it is necessary to give a quick response to purify the spaces when the results reflect this”, explains Antonio León, CEO of the startup. Specifically, with the devices developed, data on air quality can be measured and obtained in real time in interior spaces with sensor technology. On the other hand, the drone system that they are finalizing will allow the automated measurement, purification and disinfection of the risk areas detected by the sensors”heading through the air to the critical area to disinfect it and returning to its station once completedLeon concludes.

According to the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, 114,000 premature deaths can be avoided if the air quality recommendations indicated by the WHO are met, so this type of environmental control systems are increasingly common in interior buildings with heavy traffic.

towns like batteries monitor the entire network of municipal buildings with this system that will soon be used in several major projects in Andorra.
