Tesla has found an effective way to empty stocks before the end of 2022. Indeed, the manufacturer has decided to offer 10,000 km of free charging for all buyers who take delivery of their electric car before December 31 2022.
While the Tesla Model S and X have just returned to the European market after two years of absence, the manufacturer has decided to take measures to sell the remaining stocks of Model 3 and Model Y before the end of the year.
In the United States, for example, for years the brand did not reach 200,000 deliveries per year. Moreover, these poor performances prevented the manufacturer from being able to offer its customers the famous federal tax credit worth 7500 dollars, the American equivalent of the French ecological bonus if you prefer.
Tesla multiplies offers to empty its stocks
However, as revealed by our colleagues from the Electrek site, Tesla is determined to empty its stocks before the end of the year to reach the, in the USA and in Europe. And to do this, the brand has just set up a new promotional offer. In effect, some customers awaiting delivery have just received an email from Tesla. The builder counts offer them 10,000 km of Supercharger credits valid for the next two years. Here is what is written in the email.
“Tesla has decided to grant free Supercharger credits, equivalent to approximately 10,000 km traveled, if you take delivery of a Tesla vehicle between December 15 and 31, 2022. Free Supercharger credits will be credited to your Tesla account in the month of January 2023 and will remain valid for a period of two calendar years from the date of delivery”.

It is then specified that these free credits cannot be transferred to another vehicle or to another person. In other words, they will no longer be valid if you sell your Tesla within two years. Importantly, Tesla accepts no liability if your vehicle is not delivered by December 31, 2022effectively depriving you of this offer.
Either way, this is an interesting gift. If we rely on the current tariff per kWh, i.e. 0.66 euros on average, these 10,000 km represent a saving of 1640 euros in total. Note that this is not the only financial gesture made by Tesla. In effect, Tesla already withdraws 3000 euros on its available Model 3thus increasing the bill to 48,490 instead of 53,490 € (add the 2,000 reduction of the ecological bonus).
