Thing promised, thing due. After opening its Supercharger network to competition in the Netherlands during a first test phase, Tesla is formalizing the extension of the program in France and Norway. From now on, French owners of non-Tesla electric vehicles will be able to take advantage of the American brand’s network to recharge their batteries.
If you follow Tesla news, you know that the possibility of opening up the Supercharger network to competition is a long-standing promise from Elon Musk. This promise began to become reality as early as June 2021, when the manufacturer began negotiations with the Norwegian authorities to open the Supercharger network to electric vehicles from other brands.
In November 2021, Tesla shifted gears by triggering a first official test phase in the Netherlands. Owners of EVs from other manufacturers will be able to take advantage of the Superchargers network at around ten charging stations. The only prerequisites: asee a car equipped with a standard CCS socket and reside in the country obviously.
Obviously, the tests proved conclusive since Tesla has just announced the extension of the Supercharger network opening program in France and Norway. Concerning France, only 16 sites out of 100
Superchargers will be available to all users. Note that these are stations equipped with many terminals and with a rather low attendance, the aim being above all to analyze the effects of opening up to competition on the network without however causing saturation.
List of Supercharger stations accessible to everyone in France
As in the Netherlands, your electric vehicle will need to have a CCS port, while you will need to download and use the Tesla mobile application to recharge your batteries from the manufacturer’s stations. But without further ado, here is the list of the ten stations open to all in France :

Regarding prices, know that on average, the owner of a Tesla pays 0.40 € per kilowatt hour. For non-Tesla owners, the prices displayed are significantly higher, generally exceeding €0.55/kWh depending on the station. To reduce the bill, the manufacturer offers a monthly subscription billed at €12.99. To give you an idea, the amount requested from the Tesla Supercharger in Vélizy 2 goes from €0.56/kWh to €0.38/kWh if you are a member. Of course, it’s a safe bet that Tesla will open more stations in France in the coming months.
