2. Super Mario Galaxy 2
Mario’s second adventure through space –and for Wii– was a very worthy sequel that has nothing to envy to the original installment. With such creative planet design and gameplay and story that are some of the best the character has come up with in the 21st century. Seeing the combination of these two elements, it’s totally understandable that it has a 97 on Metacritic.
1. Super Mario Galaxy
If the second game was already one that you couldn’t miss, this one even more so. Definitely Mario’s biggest surprise in his history since, at that time, taking the character out of the Mushroom Kingdom was practically an announced failure. But, as only Nintendo knows how to do, it gave us what is for many the best game in the saga ever created, which corresponds with its 97 score on Metacritic.
