Once we have to talk about the next releases that will arrive in the coming weeks on Apple’s video streaming platform. On this occasion, we continue to focus on the content for the little ones with an animated short film called Blush.
The preview for Blush shows us an astronaut’s encounter with a pink alien on a tiny, desolate planet. Blush is the first animated short film produced by Apple TV + in collaboration with Skydance Animation.
The short film is written and directed by filmmaker Joe Mateo, Emmy winner for the animation short Landing patrol in 2009. He has also obtained 3 nominations for the Annie Awards, awards from the animation industry.
According to Apple, the story shares Matthew’s “deeply personal journey of healing, hope, and the undeniably human moments of being rescued by love.”
Blush follows the journey of a horticulturist-astronaut lost after his crash landing on a desolate dwarf planet. When an ethereal visitor arrives, the once lone traveler discovers the joy of building a new life and realizes that the universe has handed him a surprising salvation.
Blush joins other animation originals slated to debut on Apple TV +, including two films produced by John Lasseter: Luck and Spellbound. It also joins other Apple animation originals, such as the Oscar nominee. Wolfwalkers. This new title will premiere on October 1 exclusively on Apple TV +.
