Smartphones already have more than enough power to play very demanding titles, but they have always had a weak point: the touch screen. Touch controls are often not precise, especially when playing non-native smartphone games such as emulators. Razer saw it clearly in 2020 and launched its own remote control for smartphoneswhich has now been renovated with a few improvements.

The first big change Razer Kishi v2 it’s on the bridge. In the original model, the entire device was flexible, and could be adjusted to different sizes. In this new version, the rubber has been replaced by a rigid material. It may seem like a step backwards, but it really isn’t, as the new telescopic bridge can also be expanded. Now the Kishi is compatible with large smartphones. In addition, the accessory now seems to be of much higher quality.

The keypad of this new Kishi v2 is practically identical to the original version, although there are slight changes. The controller now uses buttons with microswitches, instead of membrane technology. The v2 features two clickable analog joysticks, a mechanical D-Pad, ABXY buttons, two bumpers (L1 and R1), two triggers (L2 and R2), two multifunction buttons (M1 and M2), one menu button, one to share and one to launch the Razer Nexus app, which is what we’ll talk about next. The connection to the mobile terminal is made through a USB-C connector, exactly the same as in the first generation model. Thanks to this, input lag does not exist on this controller. And, if you were wondering, you can charge your phone while using the controller, so you won’t have any problems getting stuck in the middle of a game.
