The departure of actors in a cast as choral as that of Amazon’s ambitious production can be is a possibility that is always present, but in general, they are expected to be well enough tied up so that they do not leave you thrown from one season to another. Adar will no longer be Adar

The dark Elfleader of the orcs, appeared in the recently finished first season as one of the great villains of the plot, in charge of conquering the South Lands in the name of Sauron.
His interpretation has possibly been one of those that more have liked during this time to the fans of the series, for having managed to give it the perfect touch of darkness. We had previously seen the interpreter in another great literary saga adapted to the small screen such as Game of Throneswhere he played Benjen Stark, however here he appears markedly changed, with dark hair, pointy ears and a face partially damaged by a huge scar.
However, you will have to erase that image from your mind. The actor has confirmed that abandon fictionnoting in a message from his official Twitter account that he does it to explore “new characters and worlds”:

“I have loved my time exploring Middle-earth and immersing myself in Tolkien’s mythology. I feel very honored that the character was liked […] Although as an actor it is still my desire, the essence of my work pushes me to explore new characters and worlds. I wish the entire cast and crew for season 2 the best, I’ll be rooting for them from the other side.”
It is certainly a great loss, although Amazon has already announced a good number of new faces that will become part of season 2 and possibly help us forget this march a little more. Among them, in fact, is Mawle’s replacement.
Who is the substitute in season 2?
Obviously, Amazon already has someone to replace the actor and that is none other than sam hazeldine. if you have seen The Sandman either Playlist on Netflix, it may sound familiar to you, although probably his most prominent role on the small screen is that of George Sewell in the great series Peaky Blinders.
The truth is that Hazeldine keeps certain physical features similar to Mawle, so possibly, once characterized, the change will not be so shocking to us. Even so, it will be necessary to see if he is capable of capturing the essence of the character in the same way that good Joseph has done, who undoubtedly imprinted on Adar a character and aura special.
