Despite meeting in summer, those responsible for Apple TV +, continues to reach different agreements to expand the content available on its streaming video platform. The latest news related to this platform is found in the series The Changeling, an urban fantasy drama based on the book of the same name.
The Cangeling It is based on the best-seller by Victor Lavalle, and is described as a fairy tale for adults. According to Apple, the series is “a horror story, a fable about fatherhood and a dangerous odyssey through a city in New York that you did not know existed.”
The series stars and is produced by LaKeith Stanfield and has been written and adapted for television by Kelly Marcel, who will also serve as executive producer and showrunner. In the direction and executive production, we find Melina Matsoukas.
LaKeith Sanfield is known for her work on series such as Atlanta, Judas and the Black Messiah and The Harder They Fall. Matsoukas, for his part, has previously worked on Queen & Slim and Insecure. At the moment it is unknown when the production work is scheduled to begin.
If we consider that at the moment only the participation in the cast of LaKeith Sanfiled has been confirmed, it is clear that the series still has a long way to go. The Changeling joins Apple’s growing list of original movies and series, home to the next Samuel L. Jackson movie The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray and Killers of the Flower Moon by Martin Scorsese.
