It is almost scary to talk about expected releases, and in my case to talk about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor even more, because unfortunately we have had to get used to the fact that some of the titles that we have been waiting for months or even years, reach the market in a state that it hardly deserves the qualification of beta. The most recent example is in The Last of Us Part I for PC, a real mess that, even with patches that are supposed to fix performance issues, is still somewhat regrettable.
There is one of those quotes that, with small variations, is attributed to different names, from Saint Thomas Aquinas to Alexander Pope (this is the most notable source), and that comes to say that blessed are those who do not expect anything because they will never be disappointed. . Without a doubt, this would be the perfect basis for the way in which we must prepare for those game launches that, despite the fact that we have already stumbled upon the same stone several times, they continue to excite us as if we were small children.
And what is all this about?, you may be wondering. Well, it comes to that, of course, the developers and distributors know us quite well. They have a lot of technique when it comes to making videos that, with less than two minutes, make us deactivate all our reservations and even consider the pre-purchase option (something that you know we do not recommend, except in exceptional cases). And that’s what just happened to me after watching the final trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Judge for yourself:

If you’ve already played Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (or at least know its plot), you probably also know that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes place five years after the end of the first, with Cal Kestis already becoming a powerful Jedi Knight at a time when great shadows are hanging over the universe. As we can hear in the trailer, the burden of its future will fall on Kestis, who, yes, will not fight alone and will show more expertise than ever in handling the lightsaber (you know, a noble weapon, for more civilized times, which said Obi Wan Kenobi).
