The first trailer of the film The Tragedy of Macbeth is now available

Last August, in I’m from Mac we talked about the movie Macbeth’s tragedy, one of the Apple’s most ambitious productions which, according to the Cupertino-based company, would close the 65th edition of the London BFI, a contest that ended yesterday.

For a few hours, Apple’s YouTube channel has released the first trailer of that new movie, a movie Directed by 4-time Hollywood Academy Oscar winner Joel Coen and starring Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand.

Frances McDormand, winner of 3 Academy Oscars She is married to Joel Coen, the director of this movie. The Macbeth Tragedy will premiere on January 14 on Apple TV +.

Apple announced that it had acquired the rights to this film last May, a film that the result of the association with the production company A24, whose previous collaboration was the film On The Rocks, with Sofia Coppola directing and Bill Murray as the lead actor.

In addition to the participation of Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand, the cast of this new movie about Macbeth it also includes Bertie Carvel, Alex Hassell, Corey Hawkins, Kathryn Hunter, Harry Melling, and Brendan Gleeson.

The film brings together Coen regular collaboratorsincluding Bruno Delbonnel as director of photography, Mary Zophres as costume designer, and a score by Carter Burwell.

In addition to directing, Joel Coen produces the film with Frances McDormand and Robert Graf. The Tragedy of Macbeth, will be released in theaters on December 25, 2021 to be eligible for the Academy Awards in Hollywood.

15 days later, January 14, will premiere on Apple TV + for all subscribers of this platform, subscribers who will not have to pay an additional extra as if it happens with the simultaneous premieres of Disney +.
