The Flash: Michael Keaton returns as Brice Wayne / Batman

The set of the film The Flash gives us new photos showing Michael Keaton which returns to interpret Batman. The director of the film, Andy Muschietti, posted on Twitter the first photos taken on the set that they see as the protagonist Keaton in the role of Bruce Wayne.

Michael Keaton is Bruce Wayne again in the photos from the Flash set

Just a few days ago, Muschietti had published photos of the costume of Super Girl interpreted by Sasha Calle is Ezra Miller in the role of the protagonist Flash. Today, however, it also reveals the first images of Keaton’s return in one of his most iconic roles, thus confirming the rumors of the past few months.

In Flash Keaton reprises that role he had masterfully played in Batman of 1989 and in the sequel Batman Returns of 1992. It will be a different Bruce Wayne who comes from an alternate timeline, the same we know by the name of Flashpoint. In this timeline the Batman’s Keaton is the number one rival of Falsh, while Ben Affleck Sara Bruce Wayne in the timeline of Barry.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Muschietti talked about this alternate timeline saying that:

Ben Affleck’s Batman is the foundation of our work. This film amplifies what has been told so far and does not make it useless, of course. Everything you have already seen continues to exist and, likewise, what you will see also exists. In short, an even larger shared universe is about to be born than before.

Muschietti then added:

What caught me about The Flash is the human drama behind it. It will be fun, no doubt, but the dramatic basis is remarkable. I don’t think there can be any horror scenes. It will be, however, a beautiful human story.

The project went into production in April and is expected to be distributed by Warner Bros starting in November 4, 2022.

The cast of The Flash is composed by Michael Keaton, Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdù, Saroise-Monica Jackson is Rudy Mancuso.
