Just a few hours ago a rumor emerged that assumes the GeForce RTX 4070 will be priced at $749 in its base configuration, and that the custom models with high-quality finishes will be priced even higher, which means that they would be more expensive than the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, an information that obviously makes no head or tail.
The source of this information It takes a while with credibility at minimum levels, and it was the same one that said at the end of last year that NVIDIA was going to launch a TITAN RTX Ada Lovelace with a 900-watt TGP. Taking for granted that the GeForce RTX 4070 is going to cost practically the same as the Ti model is nonsense, especially considering the significant differences that will exist between the two graphics cards.
To understand it better, it is necessary to see the specifications of each one of them put face to face. Keep in mind that those of the GeForce RTX 4070 have not been confirmedbut all the most reliable leaks that we have seen point in that direction, so except for surprise they should end up being fulfilled as is.

There is an important difference between the two, as we anticipated. As we saw in our review, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti offers similar performance to the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, and looking at the lower shader count that the GeForce RTX 4070 will have, it’s clear that this it will rather sit between the GeForce RTX 3080 and the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.
With this in mind, it is clear that it does not make sense to sell her at the same price as her older sister, and that it would also make no sense to leave her only 50 dollars away from her older sister. There was a $100 price difference between the GeForce RTX 3070 and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, which directly translated into a difference of 100 euros in Spain, so I am inclined to think that with the GeForce RTX 4070 at NVIDIA they will follow a similar approach.
Personally I think the GeForce RTX 4070 It will be priced between 649 and 699 dollars, figures that in Spain will translate between 700 and 800 eurosafter applying taxes. By being located in that strip it would be perfectly differentiated from the Ti model, and it would not be stepped on with it. On the other hand, it would also be better positioned in value for money benefits.
