The Halo series offers a release date in a new trailer!

Paramount reveals the release date for the Halo series on its Paramount+ service. It will arrive sooner than expected! Check out its new trailer.

For the 20th anniversary of the franchise Halo, celebrated in November 2021, Microsoft has unveiled the first images of the television series devoted to the Master Chief. During the Game Awards, a first trailer was presented, which made our mouths water. Today, a second trailer is offered to us, announcing the release date of the series. Check it out below.

The Major takes flight

These new images show us a little more of the members of the UNSC, including Doctor Catherine Halsey (Natascha McElhone). It is to her that we owe the creation of the Spartans, humans genetically modified to have extraordinary physical abilities, but also of the Major, the Spartan 117 (Pablo Schreiber). She states:

The Major has been enhanced and trained for one purpose: to win this war. He and the other Spartans are our only weapons against the Covenant. It is deadly, perfectible, but above all, controllable. Or maybe he’s not that much after all. Those who know games know that any so-called controllable being, like Cortana for example, can actually act in full consciousness.

This is once again demonstrated in the trailer, as the Major questions his command, and comes to the aid of someone he shouldn’t have saved. On the side of the UNSC, we are also worried about the consequences that this fragile relationship of trust with Master Chief can have.

Fan service to no longer be able to?

If the majority of players Halo are eager to discover the series, many are those who fear that Paramount will fall into the trap of excessive fan service. Indeed, if some scenes presented by the trailer seem promising, others, like the fight with the aliens, have an aftertaste of poor special effects. However, the series should have a satisfactory budget, and counts Steven Spielberg among its producers.

You won’t have to wait very long before you can judge for yourself, since the series should offer its first broadcast much earlier than expected. Indeed, while we were told for the end of 2022, it seems that it will be available on Paramount+ by March 24. It will therefore not be accessible in France, unless you use devious means to watch it.

For the moment Paramount has not yet announced an upcoming availability date for France, although some European countries will have the chance to acquire the service in 2022. This is the case of Germany, Austria , Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Italy. That said, the firm could also fall back on another distribution platform if the series meets the expected success across the Atlantic.
