The Last of Us, the first photos of the set of the TV series arrive

The first photos from the set of The Last of Us, the TV series based on the video game saga of Naughty Dog And Sony filming is underway around Calgary, Canada.

These are some shots that show the preparation of the set of the post-apocalyptic scenario so well known to fans of the first chapter of the 2013 action-adventure video game.

Similarly to what is told in the game, the story will begin following the journey of Joel (Pedro Pascal) ed Ellie (Bella Ramsey) through an America ravaged by an epidemic that seems to have no cure, with the two trying to survive in a world now in disarray.

The first season of The Last of Us TV series, which will arrive on HBO Max, will consist of ten episodes, directed by five different directors. The budget made available for this production is truly massive, with hundreds of millions of dollars earmarked for each episode.

The latest rumors speak of the concrete possibility of even producing 7-8 seasons, which would mean how each of the two chapters of the videogame saga could be adapted for four seasons. However, we will have to wait some more time to know more details of the ambitious show.

What do we know about the TV series?

Currently we still know few details of the TV series produced by HBO, apart from the main performers who will be Beautiful Ramsey And Pedro Pascal as Ellie and Joel respectively.

The story takes place twenty years after modern civilization was destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to secretly escort 14-year-old Ellie through an oppressive quarantine zone.

What starts out as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey, as they will both have to travel across the United States together to survive.
