The remake of The Last of Us is due to land in September 2022 on PS5. According to Naughty Dog, this is a major overhaul of the title, with reworked graphics and modernized gameplay. However, one thing makes fans wince: the price of this remake.
As you may know, the first-ever The Last of Us is due to return on September 2, 2022 on PS5. Indeed, Sony and the studio Naughty Dog have confirmed the news of the Summer Game Fest. Players will be able to (re)discover the first adventures of Joel and Ellie, with reworked graphics, improved controls, modernized gameplay and many more accessibility options.
PS5 requires, the game will also use 100% of the capabilities of the DualSense, namely adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. 3D audio will also be included for a better sound environment. At first glance, fans of the license welcomed this return with enthusiasm. It must be said that if the first opus had everyone in agreement, it is far from being the case of the second episode, which clearly displeased certain players in particular because of the scriptwriting choices made.
80 € for a remake, the pill goes badly among players
Only, the joy and excitement quickly fell after the announcement of the prices of the different versions of The Last Of Us remake. For the standard edition, which will include the main story and The Left Behind expansion, it will take shell out €79.99…Either the price charged by Sony on its latest PS5 exclusives like Returnal Where Rachet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Add €10 to the bill for the Deluxe digital edition, which includes various in-game bonuses. As many fans on Reddit, the amount requested is too high for a remake. Especially since for some players like yours truly, the game was purchased for the first time on PS3, then a second time on PS4 with the remastered released in 2014.
