After the first images of The Little Mermaid, which showed for the first time Halle Bailey in the role of Ariel (in human version), a new shot stolen from the Sardinian set of the Disney film has landed on the net. This is a photograph of the actor Jonah Hauer-King, immortalized in what has all aspects of the scene in which the shipwrecked Prince Eric is saved by Ariel.

With Jonah Hauer-King, in the cast of the film are also present Halle Bailey in the role of Ariel, Melissa McCarthy in the shoes of the very bad Ursula is Javier Bardem for that of King Triton. Awkwafina Sara Scuttle, Jacob Tremblay Sara Flounder is Daveed Diggs will give the voice to Sebastian.
Among the producers of the film, directed by Rob Marshall, figure Lin-Manuel Miranda, who we know will also compose the songs of the film (many of which will be taken from the original cartoon of the 90s) along with Alan Menken. Rob Marshall, Marc Platt is John DeLuca they will produce the film together with Miranda.
The release date of The Little Mermaid is set for 2022.
