We already have an official date to be able to buy the new one MacBook Air M2. It will be this same Friday, July 8, and presumably it will have some first deliveries a week later, on July 15, when it appears in physical stores.

Great news for all those who have been waiting for a long time to be able to buy the new MacBook Air equipped with the new second-generation Apple processor, the M2. Raw power and low consumption packed into Apple’s cheapest laptop. Guaranteed sales success.

Yesterday I wrote that PC notebook manufacturers see the launch of the new MacBook Air M2 as a real threat. They think it will definitely be a bestsellerand it will take away from them market share.

Well, they can start to tremble now, because starting this friday Apple already supports the first orders of the new MacBook Air M2, in all its versions. Definitely great news.

Apple has not confirmed the date of the first deliveries, but it will presumably be the next friday july 15. And we believe that it will be that day because the company has confirmed that it will go on sale that Friday in physical Apple stores and authorized distributors.

The new MacBook Air M2 was presented last June at the WWDC 2022. In this presentation we were able to see the new exterior design, the available casing colors, and the confirmation that it was going to mount the M2 chip that also lives in the new 13-inch MacBook Pro.

We could also see live that it recovers the charging port MagSafe and it inherits the notch that we already know from the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros that are currently sold.

You no longer have to buy a MacBook Pro to enjoy an M2

The price of the new basic MacBook Air M2 is 1,519 euros, with 8-core CPU and GPU, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. If you need more features (which I doubt), you have a more expensive model with 10 GPU cores, 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for 1,869 euros. You no longer need to buy a MacBook Pro to enjoy all the power of an M2.
