The Mandalorian season 3: an explosive first trailer reveals a glimpse of Mandalore

The launch of the third season of The Mandalorian is fast approaching, and fans of the Star Wars universe are finally entitled to a first trailer for the series. The full trailer is available at the end of the article.

During its D23 conference last weekend, Disney shared a lot of new information regarding its upcoming series, since we were treated to a total of three different trailers. First, Disney showed off a final look at Star Wars Andor ahead of the series premiering on Disney+ on September 21, Tales of the Jedi, a new anime anthology series arriving October 23, but above all a trailer for the third season of The Mandalorian, scheduled for early next year.

In this first look at the flagship Disney series in the Star Wars universewe see not only the main character of Pedro Pascal, the Mandalorian, and his companion Grogu, but also other familiar characters like Katee Sackhoff in the role of Bo-Katan, Carl Weathers in that of Greef Karga, Omid Abtahi in that of Dr. Pershing, Emily Swallow in that of the Armourer and Amy Sedaris in that of Peli Motto.

What happens in the first trailer for The Mandalorian season 3?

Warning, spoilers. During the nearly two-minute trailer, we see Bo Katan Kryse sitting on the throne of Mandalore where Din Djarin goes to repent for removing his mask, to which Bo Katan replies that his cult is responsible for the downfall of Mandalore. Grogu also appears in the trailer after choosing to end his training with Luke Skywalker to return to his surrogate father. It is also interesting to note that the bond between the two characters seems stronger than evernotably thanks to the events of The Book of Boba Fett series.

According to executive producer Rick Famujiwa, teams are working on the next season of the series in the editing room, confirming an earlier report that said season 4 would arrive earlier than expected.
