the mid-range graphics card would arrive as early as the end of May 2023

PC gamers are eagerly awaiting the release of the latest Nvidia RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards, and the wait may soon be over, as one of the GPUs is reportedly arriving as soon as the end of the month.

As rumors swirled about possible release dates for the RTX 4060 Ti, a leaked release schedule from the card’s partners has provided new information on the launch of this highly anticipated GPU. According to information from videocardz.com, the RTX 4060 Ti will ship to partners on May 5, with an expected launch date of late May.

Although no official launch date has been set, it seems quite logical that Nvidia will take advantage of the Computex Taipei trade show, which will be held from May 30 to June 2, to present the new series of cards. It will therefore directly succeed the RTX 3060 Ti, which, as we recall, was launched on December 2, 2020.

What do we know about the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti?

Many PC and tech retailers in Europe have confirmed that the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards will both feature 8GB of VRAM. The RTX 4060 Ti should use the same card number, PG190, as the RTX 3060 Tiwhile the RTX 4060 would use a new board numbered PG173.

Using the older PG190 board and limiting memory to a 128-bit bus and eight-lane PCIe Gen4 could indicate that the RTX 4060 Ti will be a more affordable graphics card than what we have so far experienced with the other GPUs of the Ada Lovelace generation. Whether it can compete with the best graphics cards on the market remains to be seen.

It now remains to be seen at what price these RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti will arrive. As a reminder, the RTX 4070 was launched at a recommended price of 659 euros. However, Nvidia is probably having a hard time selling its next-gen graphics cards, which is causing some retailers to apply quite aggressive promotions. We can therefore expect the RTX 4060 Ti to arrive at around 500 eurosand the classic version at just over 400 euros.
