The May 4th It is an important date for all Star Wars fans. It is the day in which you publish your posters, your figurines, your yellowish movie ticket from when you saw The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 or even your tattoos based on the George Lucas franchise. As usual, ‘May the 4th’ is the right day for Disney to publish news about its future Star Wars projects. This is how we were able to see the second trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, a preview of just over a minute and a half that is full of details.

There is very little left for us to see on Disney Plus the adventures of Obi-Wan in his own miniseries. Next day may 27th, we all have an appointment on the Disney streaming platform where we can see the first episode of the life of this Jedi. The series will resolve once and for all the doubt that we have always had about what this Jedi did from the fall of the Republic in Episode III until he ends up meeting Luke in A New Hope.
Daiyu, a new futuristic (and recycled) planet
Whether we like it or not, the galaxy is too big, so there will always be some corner that has escaped us. Daiyu it’s a “new” city featured in the trailer, and appears to be the scene of a fight between Obi-Wan, Reva, and other bounty hunters. In Reva’s case, it seems that she wants to trap Obi-Wan for a personal reason.
Going back to the city, according to Joby Harold, it is inspired by Hong Kong. The setting also has its resemblance to the planet that we saw at the beginning of Only, and is not original to this series. Apparently, was designed for the series Star Wars: Underworldannounced in 2005 and never saw the light of day.
Uncle Owen knew
The death of his uncles is the reason why Luke ends up receiving his Jedi training, at a very late age compared to the younglings who were trained on Coruscant. Already in this trailer we can see that Obi-Wan has been insisting for yearsand it was precisely Uncle Owen who was trying to get the boy away from the Jedi Master to prevent him from ending up like his father.
The comment that we can see in the trailer makes it clear to us that Owen Lars will have a important role within the miniseriesso we will learn many more details about his life and Luke’s childhood.
More inquisitors… and Darth Vader
Already in the first trailer we could see the inquisitors, who will be the clear antagonists of the miniseries. The first appearance of the inquisitors was in Star Wars Rebelsa 3D animation series published in 2014. It explained that they were ancient Jedi, padawans and younglings who were caught after the execution of Order 66 and turned to the dark side to work in the service of Darth Vader.
In the trailer appears Grand Inquisitor beside Reva (the third sister) and the fifth brother. In addition, you can see his fortress on the planet Mustafar, which is hidden under water and could already be seen previously in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
And, as if that were not enough, the trailer closes with Darth Vader. We see how some machines are assembling him with his bionic arms and legs. Obi-Wan comes to sense the presence of his former Padawan, which could mean there were more confrontations between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader since the duel on Mustafar in the third film and the confrontation in which Obi-Wan sacrifices himself for Luke. in Episode IV.
