In contrast to its latest devices presented in January, equipped with AMD processors, Lenovo’s new family of convertible laptops finally lands in Europe, with the new Yoga 9i with 12th generation Intel Alder Lake-P.
Although although we speak of family, in reality we will count with only one model available at launch, with a 14-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, equipped with an Intel Core i7-1260P processor of 12 cores and 16 threads, 8 GB of LPDDR5-5200 memory (unfortunately soldered, so we will not be able to upgrade it) and 256 GB of internal storage with a PCIe Gen 4 SSD (in this case, it can be upgraded).
Thus, it is expected that in the near future Lenovo expand these computers with other models that will equip some configurations with LCD screens up to 2880 x 1800 pixels or OLED 3840 x 2400 pixels, plus up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Although not everything will be improvements, but we can also find a slightly cheaper version, which, keeping the rest of the components, will opt for a Core i5-1240P processor.
On the other hand, all Yoga 9i will feature a 2MP 1080p IR webcamwith support for Windows Hello facial login and a privacy shutter that covers the camera when not in use and a backlit keyboard with some special features for adjusting power performance modes or switching between light and dark themes on Windows.
As for the connectivity section, this convertible has WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2in addition to two Thunderbolt ports, a USB 3.2 Type-C and a USB 3.2 type A, as well as a 3.5 mm audio input and speakers integrated into its hinge, which will allow them to rotate to always be oriented towards the screen and the user.
Additionally, the Yoga 9i comes equipped along with a Lenovo Precision Pen 2 stylus and a 75 Wh battery with autonomy optimized for use in portability.
In the absence of knowing the rest of the prices of its family, Lenovo has already advanced the price of its base model, with a Yoga 9i with an Intel Core i7-1260P processor and available FullHD screen for $1,449.99 (approximately 1,335 euros), reduced exclusively for its launch in April to 1,229.99 dollars (approximately 1,132 euros).
