The streaming platform application Amazon Prime Video is going to receive a big update, with big visual and functional changes. And although the versions for iOS and iPadOS are still in the testing phase, Apple TV devices will already be able to enjoy it this week.
So if you have a AppleTV, you can now enjoy the new application to watch Amazon Prime Video content on your TV. On the other hand, if you usually see this platform on your iPhone or iPad, you will still have to wait a few months to be able to update the application to its new version.
Amazon has presented its new application to be able to enjoy its streaming video platform: Amazon Prime Video. An app that had become somewhat outdated, and that now receives a new visual design and a new way of presenting its audiovisual content.
Although the version for iOS and iPad OS it’s not finished yet, will launch at the end of the year), if the owners of an Apple TV will be able to enjoy it starting this week, together with the users of certain SmartTVs, game consoles, Fire TV, and Android devices.
A new visual environment
The new app has a more intuitive menu navigation, and thus the Prime Video streaming service will be accessible in a simpler way. With its navigation menu on the left side of the screen, it will launch with six main pages: Home, Store, Search, Live TV, Free with Ads, and My Stuff.
With this update, there will also be options to be able to browse different categories such as “Movies”, “TV Shows” or “Sports”.
And lastly, the new design of the app also makes it easier for users to know what content is included with your Prime account compared to what’s available to buy, something the current app makes it somewhat expensive to figure out.
