Xiaomi has just announced its Redmi K60 series in China, which will certainly be marketed under the name Poco F5 in France within a few weeks or months. Three smartphones were presented, with one watchword: value for money.

The Redmi K60 Pro, Redmi K60 and Redmi K60E are all equipped with an OLED screen with QHD+ definition (3,200 x 1,440 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate and 480 Hz touch sampling rate. If the different models share a similar slab, there are on the other hand significant disparities in the entrails of the terminals.

Generous technical characteristics for an attractive price

The Redmi K60 Pro is logically the best endowed in performance, thanks to the integration of the new SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Redmi K60 is equipped with the previous generation chip from Qualcomm, the excellent Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, while the Redmi K60E benefits from a Mediatek Dimensity 8200 SoC.

On the memory side, the Redmi K60 Pro comes with 8 to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the Redmi K60 from 8 to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and the Redmi K60E from 8 to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Storage options vary between 128, 256 and 512 GB on the three references, mostly in UFS 3.1, but in UFS 4.0 on the 256 and 512 GB configurations of the Redmi K60 Pro.

Autonomy is entrusted to a 5,000 mAh battery on the Redmi K60 Pro and 5,500 mAh on the Redmi K60 and Redmi K60E. The most high-end smartphone in the series is spoiled for charging: up to 120 W wired and up to 30 W by induction. The Redmi K60 benefits from 67W mains charging and 30W wireless charging, while the Redmi K60E adopts the same wired charging, but does not support wireless charging.

For the photo, the Redmi K60 Pro stands out with a 50 MP Sony IMX800 main sensor, 1/1.49 inch in size, 1 µm pixels and optical image stabilization. It is paired with an 8 MP ultra wide-angle and a 2 MP macro lens. Clearly, the difference with a real high-end mobile should be in the quality of photography. The Redmi K60 has a 64 MP lens, f/1.79 aperture, 0.7 µm and OIS, the Redmi K60E has a 48 MP sensor, f/1.79, 0.8 µm and OIS. The other two sensors are the same as on the Redmi K60 Pro.

The Redmi K60 Pro starts at 3,299 yuan (445 euros), the Redmi K60 at 2,499 yuan (338 euros) and the Redmi K60E at 2,199 yuan (less than 300 euros). European prices will necessarily be higher, but should still be attractive.
