The processor of the Apple Watch Series 7 could be smaller and would allow to increase the battery

We continue with the rumors related to the Apple Watch Series 7, a terminal, that if it does not face manufacturing problems, will be presented together with the iPhone 13 in the month of September, an event in which the Cupertino-based company could also present a new Mac with the second generation of the M1 processor.

This new generation will feature the new S7 processor, a processor that DigiTimes claims, it would be double sided and smaller, so Apple could use the extra space to increase the size of the battery, one of the weak points of the Apple Watch forever.

This new chip would be manufactured by Taiwan ASE Technology. As can be read on its website, the company offers double-sided manufacturing technology that allows the minituarization of the processor.

As stated a few days ago by Mark Gurman and Debby Wu from Bloomberg, Apple has been testing reduce screen bezels and a new lamination technique that brings the screen closer to the front cover. If finally Apple opts for this design, the new Apple Watch could present a design with flat edges.

Also, according to Prosser a few days ago, the Apple Watch could release a new color, green (if we take into account that Prosser has barely gotten his predictions right for a long time, we have to take this last information with a grain of salt).

In addition to a new design, different rumors point to new advanced health features such as body temperature sensing and blood sugar monitoring, although the latter will likely take a few years to be available on the Apple Watch.

While the presentation date of the new Apple Watch approaches, over the next few months, we will surely have a good share of new rumors, leaks and more.
