Many and different have been the rumors that have been emerging around Apple’s AR glasses. That device that promises to be revolutionary but that will also have a cost that many of us cannot afford, at least in the first editions. A new and quite extensive report warns of the reasons why, at the moment, they have not been released and what can be done to remedy that. In fact, one of the main reasons is the technical difficulty which we face in this device from the American company.

A new report tells us about the reasons why we currently do not have Apple AR glasses on the market. Not everything is a matter of design or capacity, if not above all it seems that it is a technical problem. Difficulties in making this device They have not been few and it seems that they have not finished. It is difficult to be able to launch something on the market, for which at the moment, one is not fully prepared.

The report claims that the Apple team working on the AR glasses, led by Mike Rockwell, regularly had to scramble to get help with the project from other parts of the company. In mid-2017, the team also the worked out of office buildings in Sunnyvale, California, which were several miles from Apple’s headquarters. Supposedly it was done to maintain the security and privacy of the project.

It is also mentioned that the use of interchangeable batteries was considered. With them, users could use them up to eight hours a day, but the idea was eventually scrapped due to the inherent complexities. As of 2021, the battery was specified in the rumours, to be of the same capacity as other similar devices.

Overheating, software and camera issues…etc. It has been a thorny path that has meant the impossibility of launching the product yet.

In that report, it is warned that it is more than likely that by the end of 2023 we will finally have those AR glasses in our hands. Or rather, in our face.
